Our client, a leading pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), is seeking a skilled Packaging Lead Buyer to join their team in Paris, France.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing packaging materials for the company's pharmaceutical operations. This role requires a strong understanding of packaging materials used in the pharmaceutical industry, including primary and secondary packaging components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers of packaging materials.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and compliance.
- Collaborate with production planning and scheduling teams to forecast packaging material requirements.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure packaging materials meet regulatory standards and company specifications.
- Monitor packaging material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Manage packaging material inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Ensure packaging materials comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials used in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and French is essential.
