Overview: Join Synapsco as a Procurement Engineer within our Global Procurement team, focusing on the Facilities and Engineering sector. This role is pivotal in supporting various stakeholders and product lines across a diverse range of projects, while also contributing to our transition towards a Multi-Energy future.
Main Responsibilities:
- Market Consultation & Contract Negotiation:
- Lead the tender process and manage fabrication contracts for offshore structures,
- Negotiate terms and conditions, including any amendments to agreements,
- Present findings and outcomes to senior management.
Deliverables include comprehensive memos and negotiated contracts for offshore wind foundation fabrication. - Procurement Strategy Support:
- Gather and analyze market intelligence for offshore wind foundations,
- Facilitate multidisciplinary workshops involving structural engineers, legal experts, and project engineers.
All activities will be managed as projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and sustainability goals in an international environment.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of energy-related challenges and industrial construction methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
- Extensive experience in negotiating complex construction contracts.
- Familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French and Chinese is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Robust contractual expertise and a solid understanding of industrial projects in the Oil & Gas or Renewable energy sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of EPC and FIDIC contracts.
- Experience in contractual negotiations with industrial equipment manufacturers and major construction stakeholders.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in industrial procurement or contracts engineering, preferably within the energy sector.
