Within ING Wholesale Banking, you will be part of the Structured Export Finance (SEF) team, specializing in the structuring and execution of export finance transactions. In the case of SEF Paris, we focus on financing capital goods under the French public credit insurer (Bpifrance Assurance Export).

Our SEF teams consist of over 50 professionals based in various locations, including Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing, and New York. We are a recognized player in the field, consistently ranking in the top 10 of the Global Export Finance League Tables. Our expertise enables us to combine customer, sector, and geographic knowledge to originate and structure high-value-added transactions.

In line with ING Group's strategy, our SEF teams focus on financing sustainable projects, such as renewable energy, water, health, education, public transport, hydrogen, and batteries. Our mission is to deliver sustainable finance solutions and expertise to facilitate international trade and development.

As a Vice President, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining client relationships with exporters of capital goods, importers/borrowers in emerging markets, Bpifrance Assurance Export, and other stakeholders involved in trade promotion.
  • Prospecting and pursuing new transaction opportunities through internal and external contacts and networks.
  • Supporting or leading the structuring and execution of transactions, including commercial and credit risk discussions, documentation negotiations, due diligences, and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
  • Managing and monitoring relevant parts of the existing portfolio transactions, supporting waiver requests, and contributing to annual credit reviews.
  • Participating in external events and associations.
  • Leading or participating in relevant projects.

We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in finance, engineering, or law. The ideal candidate should have several years of professional experience in structured (export) finance, with a proven track record in transaction management. Strong knowledge of the Export Finance Product and network in the ECA market, with a focus on France, is essential. Fluent French and English communication skills are required. A committed and commercially minded professional with attention to detail is necessary for this role.
