Position Overview
SEMAE, a key entity in the seeds and plants industry, is seeking a dedicated Seeds Technician (F/M) to become part of our Regional Delegation in the Northern region.
As the French interprofessional organization for seeds and plants, SEMAE unites all stakeholders in this vital sector. France stands as the leading European producer and the foremost global exporter of agricultural seeds.
Our mission encompasses quality assurance and certification of seeds and plants, alongside a public service mandate for phytosanitary oversight.
Since 2021, we have embarked on a significant strategic initiative aimed at fostering openness, transparency, collaboration, and enhanced services for the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, sampling, and certification of seeds and plants within designated departments.
- Assist in evaluating personnel involved in cultivation for approval or ongoing compliance.
- Examine crops and lots, ensuring adherence to standards during official inspections, including assessing company responses regarding compliance.
- Collect samples from cultivation and lots, including for the issuance of international certification.
- Notify the regional manager of any technical issues encountered during mission execution.
- Document and report any non-compliance identified during control operations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a BAC +2 qualification in Agri/Agro and have a solid understanding of the agricultural landscape.
We seek individuals who are organized, self-sufficient, meticulous, and proficient in computer skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities and a commitment to confidentiality are essential.
