About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Packaging Developer to join our team at Coty. As a key member of our R&D Packaging team, you will be responsible for leading the development and qualification of packaging solutions for our luxury brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Marketing and R&D Formula to develop new packaging concepts that meet consumer needs and are technically and financially viable.
  • Work closely with Procurement to develop cost-effective packaging solutions that meet our gross margin targets.
  • Conduct risk assessment studies to identify potential packaging issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish homologation plans and conduct testing to validate packaging success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain thorough component and finished good specifications.
  • Track development milestones and communicate updates to cross-functional partners.
  • Validate new component tooling and conduct aesthetic development (color matching, decoration).
  • Review and approve artwork files for packaging-specific criteria.
  • Attend first productions to ensure components and finished goods meet quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience working in technical packaging roles, preferably in the beauty industry or cosmetics/pharmaceutical/personal care industry.
  • Academic qualifications in a relevant field, such as packaging, chemistry, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify smart solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization and travel when required.
  • Professional fluency in English.
