Role Overview
As a Civil Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all operations align with the established timelines and quality standards.

Eiffage Génie Civil operates across various sectors of civil engineering, engaging in activities that span from design to construction, maintenance, and demolition of infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Coordinating the activities of site supervisors to guarantee efficient project execution.
  2. Managing and directing the work of team members and subcontractors within your designated area.
  3. Regularly updating the project schedule and promptly communicating any potential delays to the construction manager.
  4. Monitoring and controlling costs associated with subcontracted work.
  5. Obtaining necessary approvals for additional work, detailing the scope and associated costs.
  6. Facilitating meetings with subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals.
  7. Collaborating with safety officers to uphold health and safety regulations on-site.
  8. Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  9. Assisting in the preparation of method statements and environmental impact assessments.
  10. Overseeing the quality of work to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  11. Implementing safety measures to prevent hazardous practices on-site.
  12. Conducting pre-job briefings to ensure all team members understand their tasks.
  13. Documenting non-conformance issues and proposing corrective actions.
  14. Ensuring all temporary equipment is inspected upon arrival.
  15. Issuing notifications for inspections and maintaining accurate work records.
  16. Collaborating with procurement to communicate project needs and specifications.
  17. Ensuring that work progresses according to the approved methods and plans.
  18. Managing the storage and handling of hazardous materials on-site.
  19. Identifying changes during project execution and communicating them to the construction manager.
  20. Ensuring that change management processes are followed and documented.
  21. Conducting pre-task meetings to clarify work methods and sequences.
  22. Creating method statements and control procedures tailored to specific construction activities.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with:

  • A degree in an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
