Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate scientific computing engineer to work on advanced computational models, numerical simulations, and mathematical algorithms development. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing mathematical algorithms to solve complex problems in the field of optics.
- Contributing to the design and development of high-performance computing software, ensuring compatibility with various computational architectures.
- Developing and running large-scale simulations to model eye and lens systems, ensuring accuracy and computational efficiency.
- Analyzing large datasets generated from simulations, developing automated tools for data processing, and extracting meaningful insights.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate computational tools into larger workflows.
We are looking for a graduate of an Engineering School or Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. A first experience in software development, ideally gained in the medical device field, is required. A PhD is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied mathematics and numerical optimization, proficiency in C++ and Python, and experience with numerical methods, optimization algorithms, and scientific libraries. English fluency is required, and French and/or Italian is a plus.
