Main Responsibilities
As a Legal Counsel, you will work under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel to provide commercial and legal counseling for SYSTRA Canada and US business units. Your primary focus will be on contractual aspects, including:
- Providing legal advice and analysis on a wide range of issues arising in the US or Canada.
- Advising on various SYSTRA projects-related contracts.
- Supporting contractual negotiations with clients to meet business requirements.
- Identifying legal risks and providing mitigation advice.
- Drafting legal notices and leading the support towards managing dispute cases.
- Providing legal training to SYSTRA operational teams.
Context
SYSTRA is seeking a Legal Counsel to assist the Senior Legal Counsel in providing commercial and legal counseling for SYSTRA Canada and US business units.
The Legal Counsel will be based in Paris and will work on a 6-month internship contract starting in January 2024 in our Paris office.
You will ensure that both legal support and policy are consistently and effectively deployed across the business, that contractual risks are under control, and that SYSTRA's operating needs are met.
Requirements
Master's degree in law (Master 1 or Master 2), specializing in Contracts law, Business law, or Arbitration.

Ability to learn and understand new requirements under various systems of laws. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to foresee and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence positively internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
