Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our international and highly skilled team. As a key member of our organization, you will design, develop, test, and industrialize mechatronics subsystems for life science instrumentation, enabling on-demand DNA printing through enzymatic DNA synthesis (EDS).
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechatronic subsystems for multi-axis liquid handling automation platforms
- Create detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), test reports, assembly procedures, and design validation plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering resources (Software engineers, Electronic & Electrical engineers, Chemistry & Biochemistry scientists)
- Develop a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals (mechanical engineering, material science, motion control systems, fluid mechanics, heat transfer)
- Experience with 3D solid modeling and 2D drawing creation (Solidworks preferred)
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing and prototyping
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Experience with design and development of mechatronic systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
