As a key member of our R&D department, you will play a vital role in developing and characterizing cutting-edge PU foam solutions for the construction industry. Your expertise will contribute directly to our mission of decarbonizing the sector through sustainable and high-performance materials.
Responsibilities:- Receive and meticulously inspect incoming raw materials, ensuring their quality and suitability for R&D applications.
- Conduct comprehensive laboratory mixes and perform rigorous characterization tests on prototype PU foam products, generating detailed analysis reports.
- Collaborate effectively with the R&D team to develop innovative testing protocols and methodologies specific to PU foam materials.
- Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures, data, and results, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Proactively manage laboratory equipment calibration schedules, ensuring optimal performance and reliable test outcomes.
- Effectively oversee the supply chain for essential laboratory consumables, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to support ongoing research activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing SOPREMA's internal computer tools for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Actively participate in the company's commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment (QHSE) principles, adhering to all relevant protocols and guidelines.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in materials science, particularly with a focus on foams. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial R&D environment is essential. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and AS400 is highly desirable.
Exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation is essential.
