Research Scientist: Biomaterials for Cancer Immunotherapy

CNRS is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team at the Polymer, Biopolymers, Surfaces Laboratory (PBS).

This exciting opportunity focuses on developing innovative biomaterials for cancer immunotherapy. You will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of T lymphocytes in combating solid tumors.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize novel biomaterials tailored for transdermal delivery via needle-free patches.
  • Functionalize these biomaterials with specific antibodies to target cancer cells effectively.
  • Control the release of immunostimulant factors to stimulate a robust immune response against tumors.
  • Evaluate the impact of these biomaterials on T lymphocyte viability and function in preclinical cancer models.
  • Explore synergistic effects of these biomaterials with other therapeutic approaches.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related field is essential.
  • Proven expertise in both in vitro and in vivo experimental techniques is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills in English are crucial.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.

Work Environment:

You will be part of a dynamic research team at CNRS, a leading European basic research agency. You will report directly to Dr. Sidi A. Bencherif at the Polymer, Biopolymers, Surfaces Laboratory (PBS) (UMR CNRS 6270).
