Position Overview:
The IT Operations Manager will oversee the IT services function, ensuring the delivery of essential business infrastructure and support services. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence and compliance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the IT services operations, focusing on infrastructure and IIOT support, as well as providing assistance to colleagues in areas such as desktop management and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver prompt technical assistance to team members, resolving hardware, software, and network challenges efficiently.
- Engage in the planning and implementation of IT initiatives, including system upgrades and network enhancements.
- Install, configure, and sustain IT hardware and software, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
- Address and resolve technical issues related to applications and network connectivity to minimize operational disruptions.
- Promote the principles of Technology, Security, and Quality throughout the organization.
- Serve as the primary contact for local IT service requests and mentor site IT teams to enhance service delivery.
- Foster strong collaborations with IT Shared Services and other IT colleagues to ensure exceptional service for the organization.
- Work closely with business units to identify support requirements and cultivate effective partnerships in a complex organizational structure.
- Contribute as a member of the IT Operations & Services team to align global IT support processes with business and quality objectives.
- Utilize ITIL and process improvement methodologies to enhance IT processes and support services, tracking performance metrics against service level agreements.
- Encourage innovation by showcasing technologies utilized in other divisions.
- Act as the main liaison for site capital projects, ensuring IT systems and production equipment are installed in compliance with global security and data integrity standards.
- Collaborate with Global Infrastructure Services to implement corporate standards and shared services.
- Understand and apply the company's system architecture standards to improve efficiency and support business operations.
- Ensure a balanced mix of internal and external support resources to maintain a flexible cost structure.
- Assist in developing local technology strategies, managing objectives, budgets, and schedules as required by business units.
- Embody the core values of the organization: integrity, innovation, intensity, and involvement.
- Ensure alignment with global IT policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with IT professionals in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading a diverse end-user support team, achieving continuous efficiency improvements.
- Experience in regulated environments, with a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Computer Systems Validation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of application software, desktop support, and IT security, with the ability to translate business needs into effective support services.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities within a team context.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
