About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior R&D Data Scientist to join our R&D Team, focusing on the development of new climate models. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge climate modeling solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research on climate risk modeling and machine learning methods
- Identifying new and innovative ideas and testing state-of-the-art methods based on recent research articles
- Collaborating with the underwriting and business teams to ensure our products meet client needs
- Proposing model developments or features aligned with our company's strategy
- Leading the improvement and/or development of new models to enhance our understanding of climate risks
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced R&D Data Scientist with a strong background in meteorological studies, physics, or applied mathematics. Your expertise in statistics, applied mathematics, physics, and machine learning methods will be essential in driving our climate modeling initiatives.
As a Senior R&D Data Scientist, you will have a proven track record of significant individual contributor roles in solving complex problems and leading the design and development of parts of a model. Your proficiency in Python and fluency in English are required, with a good command of one additional language valued.
