Job Title: Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer to join our team at NES Fircroft Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in the Energy Industry, located in Paris.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to projects and other departments for all questions pertaining to metallic materials and corrosion. This includes materials selection, CO2 corrosion, H2S corrosion, and SCC.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain material specifications for pipes, forgings, and bends.
  2. Review and clarify offers received from suppliers.
  3. Responsible for materials selection according to corrosive environment and project constraints.
  4. Perform CO2 corrosion calculations.
  5. Participate in meetings with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
  6. Support quality and SCM departments for supplier qualification.
  7. Participate in R&D activities on materials and corrosion.
  8. Ensure effective communication with clients and other departments.
Requirements
  1. 10+ years' experience in Oil and Gas.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or other degree in Engineering with a focus on materials and corrosion.

This role provides exciting opportunities to be involved throughout all stages of projects with activities related to Flexibles, rigid flowlines, PIP, Subsea structures, offshore/onshore fabrication, and installation.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of metallurgical and mechanical properties of metallic materials, experience in providing materials support to procurement, and knowledge of oil and gas corrosion mechanisms.

They will also have good analytical skills, be able to manage interfaces with multi-projects and functions in a multicultural environment, and demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility in work approach.
