Responsibilities- Commissioning the Gigafactory mixing processes from FAT to SOP.
- Collaborating with the product engineering team to optimize the mixing process for the electrode design.
- Improving mixing by increasing the level of process automation, which will save capital and operating costs.
- Testing and validating state-of-the-art technologies for use in the mixing process.
- During operation, you will complete root cause investigations into defects in the mixing process, which often lead to raw material quality.
- 3 + years of experience working with the cathode and/or anode mixing processes.
- Expert knowledge of fluid mechanics, rheology, and other fluid measurement techniques.
- Experience in manufacturing environment, particularly with high-volume product (>100,000 or > 1,000,000 parts per day).
- Clean room and dry room experience will be useful.
- Strong statistical and data analysis skills with tools such as Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
- Basic: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or similar discipline.
- English and French language proficiency
