Cloud Engineer Apprentice

About the Role

Faurecia, a leading technology company in the automotive industry, is seeking a Cloud Engineer Apprentice to join its Global Information Technologies - IT entity. As part of the newly formed Collaborative & Cloud Services department, you will play a key role in defining a new way to answer business needs by building and deploying modern solutions that rely on Azure PaaS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help define and implement a new way to answer business needs by building and deploying modern solutions that rely on Azure PaaS services.
  • Work under the guidance of a cloud software architect to learn which Azure services can be used, how they work, and can be associated one with another.
  • Provision Azure services and implement the required security and monitoring needed.
  • Evaluate new services and/or features, implement modifications or improvements to existing solutions, and do some coding for microservices or functions.

Requirements

  • Web software development studies.
  • Full stack profile, proficient in backend and frontend development.
  • Preparing master's degree in IT or first year of IT engineering.
  • Good command of Git SCM (branch strategy, pull requests...).
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology (backlog, user stories, sprints...).
  • Understanding of DevOps and its key concepts (continuous integration, continuous development, Infra as Code...).
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud services and its most common patterns (IaaS / CaaS / PaaS / SaaS, event driven programming...).
  • Understanding of modern applications development trends (microservices, containers, serverless architecture...).
  • Good command of object-oriented development (.Net C# or Java).

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps services or another Application Lifecycle Management platform (e.g.: GitHub, GitLab...).
  • Coding experience with Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs and API clients.
  • Good command of HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript / Typescript based frameworks (Angular, React,...).

Language Skills

  • French (preferably).
  • English (read, write and speak – MANDATORY).
