About the Position
This Postdoctoral position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of information theory, communication theory, and game theory within a collaborative national network. The project is funded by the French National Agency for Research (ANR) as part of the France 2030 program.
Research Focus
The primary objective is to investigate the fundamental limits on reliability and throughput in decentralized communication systems. This research explores scenarios where independent receivers broadcast signals observable by all, potentially enhancing reliability, throughput, or a combination of both. A key aspect involves finite block-length analysis, considering transmitters utilizing specific constellations and a limited number of channel uses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mathematical theorems characterizing achievable information rates and decoding error probabilities in multiple access channels enhanced by broadcast signals.
- Design short-length signaling systems for decentralized networks that achieve near-optimal trade-offs between information rates and decoding error probability.
- Create short-length codes compatible with signaling systems, approaching near-optimal trade-offs between information rates and decoding error probability while maintaining reasonable decoding complexity.
