Seafood Procurement Specialist

Groupe Pomona, a leading food distribution company in France with over 110 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated Seafood Buyer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in sourcing high-quality seafood products at competitive prices, ensuring alignment with our overall commercial strategy. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from negotiating prices and managing supplier relationships to coordinating with the sales team and upholding product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate favorable pricing terms and manage the supply chain for seafood products.
• Conduct purchasing activities at auctions to secure the best deals.
• Ensure a diverse product assortment that meets our buying objectives and customer demands.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop regional sales plans and strategies.
• Work in conjunction with stakeholders to guarantee consistent product quality throughout the supply chain.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, effectively resolving any potential disputes.
• Handle all administrative tasks associated with purchasing activities.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in purchasing, ideally within the seafood industry. Exceptional negotiation skills, a results-oriented mindset, and strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities are essential. A comprehensive understanding of procurement techniques and in-depth knowledge of seafood products is crucial. Proficiency in Excel and SAP software is also required.
