Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Toolmaker to join our team at Barry-Wehmiller. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for preparing, mounting, and testing cutting tools according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cutting tool components according to plans and specifications
  • Mount, adjust, and test cutting tools to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to identify and rectify any defects
  • Perform testing and prepare spare parts as needed
  • Clean, disassemble, and analyze cutting tools for repair and re-certification

Requirements

  • BTS degree in tooling and manufacturing
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and thermal processes
  • Understanding of ISO tolerances and measurement techniques
