The R&D Verification Engineer II joins the Mechanical Business Unit to conduct software testing of ANSYS applications such as MAPDL. The R&D Verification engineer II researches new engineering features to create analytical and user scenario test cases to evaluate the functionality and performance of capabilities being added to our engineering simulation software. As part of the software testing of Mechanical APDL application, an R&D Verification engineer II programs and maintains automated testing scripts and software tools. Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts

~ Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems

~ Create test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics

~ Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes

~ Windows, Linux, Virtual, Compute Clusters, Cloud

~ Analyzes requirements and develops tests suitable for new features within the MAPDL product. Improves and deploys testing strategies and methodologies for the automation of tests

~ BS in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience

~ PhD is preferred
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, bash, or Perl
