The Project Operations Business Division is in charge of producing process design packages, proprietary and automation equipment, modular units and process furnaces, from design to start-up, for refineries, petrochemical and industrial sites of our customers, on the group's traditional technologies as well as on technologies linked to the energy transition. Its objective is to ensure quality projects, respecting costs and schedules and preserving the safety of all.

Missions:

To face its activity increase, Project Operations Business Division needs to strengthen its teams and is looking for one System & Automation Project Manager (F/M).

System & Automation Project Group handles several tasks and functions. Project Managers are key elements to perform this duty:

1.AUTOMATION SYSTEM PROCUREMENT PROJECTS

Role of the Project Manager(F/M):

> Analyze the client bid, including its own and/or regional specifications, to establish an accurate technical offer and a fine budgetary quotation.

> Handle the execution of one or several System & Automation Project(s) targeting: customer's satisfaction; Axens objectives in terms of health and safety at work, quality and environment; optimization of costs and deadlines. This implies to:

oInitiate, plan and execute the project in accordance with the project management procedures in force in the department.

oManage and coordinate the teams mobilized on the project internally and/or externally.

oEnsure contractual management of the Customer order.

oEnsure the communication of reliable and accurate financial forecasts.

oEnsure the issuance of invoices according to the terms of the order.

oEnsure or anticipate contractual delivery dates.

oProvide support and ensure the proper execution and closing of supplier orders.

oEnsure the proper organization of construction, commissioning and start-up assistance missions.

oBe the main contact for the Customer on all technical and contractual matters until delivery.

oEnsure good coordination with the different Business Division and Partner.

oProvide regular feedback to the department heads (hierarchical managers of employees).

oOrganize and lead the Factory Acceptance Test meeting in shop with customers representative and its quality inspectors.

> Take part of the construction of the goods and services

oWrite documentation such as Functional Analysis, Automation Book, Installation and Operating Manual, …

oSupervise and coordinate the hardware designing by third party integrators company.

oProgram PLC and HMI in various languages (PLC language, C++/C#, VBA, etc.)

oConfigure functionalities and parts.

oTrain customers on the procured equipment, produce training support.

> Perform on-site commissioning/pre-commissioning service and start-up support.

o2 to 6 weeks site mission in many countries with different levels of involvement depending on the site activities.

oIntegrated in an Axens teams (Start-up team) or by itself.

> Most projects are PLC packages, but some online analyzers are procured as well.

DEVELOPMENT

Roles of the Project Manager (F/M):

> PLC language (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electrics, DCS, …) programming for automation procurement packages.

> C++/C# programming for in-house HMI software.

> Automation, instrumentation, online analyzer and electrical knowledge for coordination of new project development.

3.AUTOMATION DISCIPLINE

Roles of the Project Manager (F/M):

> Provide Automation expertise for supporting modular unit, furnace and other Axens equipment project:

oSupport to write control narratives.

oRedaction of Logic Diagram, Functional Analysis, Display Sketches, …

oAttending to client Instrumented Control & Safety System test in vendor shop.

> Ensure expertise services toward internal request on topic related to control, sequencing, batch management, …

> Promote Automation discipline toward internal and external interface.

As per Axens commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, continuous improvement must be in mind of all its employee, including project manager. Thus, this last must not only apply the existing procedure, forms and organization tools but take part of its upgrade and evolution.

This job involves international travel abroad.

Knowledge and Required Level:

> You are a confirmed Engineer in Automation and Industrial Computing, with successful experience as Project Manager or Project Engineer and with autonomy of action compatible with the importance of the projects entrusted.

> You have knowledge of Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allan Bradley Rockwell systems and knowledge on Distributed Control System (DCS) such as Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB, Invensys, …

> Ideally you have a real appetite for the IT field, you have solid knowledge of C, C++, C#, .Net programming and also a good knowledge of the Windows environment.

> Ideally you have extended knowledge about international standards for industrial applications.

> Experience in process start-up will be highly appreciated.

> Knowledge of engineering and safety standards is appreciated.

> A good level in English and French, both written and spoken, is essential.
