Oliver James Paris is currently representing an international insurance group in Paris as they are looking for Head of Underwriting in the international health and protection space.The role sits at the core of the organisation's strategy to retain key global accounts and expand into fast-growing segments such as IGO/NGO and diplomatic cover. You'd be leading a team of 8 underwriters, overseeing a €400M portfolio, and playing a key role in the transition to a new international health structure later this year.Key elements: * Lead underwriting across large corporate expatriates & international organisations* Ensure commercial performance, technical excellence & compliance with risk appetite* Drive integration of the team into a wider global underwriting function* Collaborate cross-functionally across pricing, reinsurance, and propositions* Engage with major clients and senior internal stakeholdersThe ideal profile includes:✔ 10+ years' experience in health & protection underwriting✔ Exposure to international corporate or institutional segments✔ Strong leadership, communication & analytic skills✔ Fluency in both English and French✔ Strong Actuarial/Underwriting backgroundSalary - Up to 6 figures in basic salary + a strong benefits packageHomeworking - 2/3 days a weekProgression- This is to join a new and growing subsidiary of an international group.
