Data Analyst Permanent Contract Full remote (Candidates need to be located near an existing Sysco site ) Sysco is the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and many others. The group’s range of products also includes equipment and supplies for the foodservice and hospitality industries. With more than 71,000 employees, the company operates 333 distribution facilities worldwide and serves more than 700,000 customer locations. Today, the company is launching a new strategic plan: the Partnership Growth Management. The PGM is the evolution of Sysco’s Category Management processes and represents a new approach to how Sysco partners with suppliers in all categories across their business. In this context, the company is creating new roles that will allow Sysco to better manage its sales and margins. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Sysco International Site/BT teams to gather, analyze, cleanse and standardize all sources of master data as needed within Site/Global initiatives in an effort to improve the quality of Sysco’s data and to drive harmonization. You will report to Dianne Adams (Director One Sysco Data International). The key responsibilities include: Ensuring the cleanliness and the use of Sysco data Performing data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identifying necessary data elements and their sources, leveraging appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different sources (including syndicated data). Ensuring that the data collated is accurate and comparable across markets (i.e. to aligned definitions) Conducting comprehensive analysis on various Business initiatives in efforts to create efficiencies and improvement and presenting the results to the Sites Communication with stakeholders Working with International Sysco Sites and relevant stakeholders within those countries to collate data to a defined pace. Working with relevant stakeholders (both in-country – e.g. finance contacts, and centrally – e.g. Business Technology) to maintain data in a viable database for onward reporting. Collaborating with the Business Technology organization to ensure data integrity and data security compliancy to Sysco’s needs. Contributing to the Sysco global initiative Assisting Sites with data standardization projects that help moving forward Global initiatives Working with Sites/Suppliers to collect Master data as required for Global initiatives Overseeing, developing, and deploying new tools and technologies as needed to support the role The core skills for this position are the following : Excellent communication skills Analytical thinking Previous experience in complex data / analytical-based role within food service / retail environment A strong comprehension of the SQL language Fluent English The role is key to the PGM and the initiative carried out by Sysco to improve its margins and relationship with its business partners.
