Permanent contract Cesson-sévigné (35) Position Duties Dynamixyz, A Take-Two Interactive Technology Studio, is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer specializing in camera interface and video encoding on Linux systems. The position You will join Dynamixyz's Hardware Operating Software (HOS) department (5 people), which is responsible for exploring, designing, and maintaining the real-time embedded systems which operate on Performance Capture stages. These systems run on computers worn by an actor and are designed for recording video and audio from camera systems mounted in front of an actor's face. These facial video recordings are synced with other studio equipment (body motion capture, audio, reference cameras, etc.) and this is the data which video games characters are animated from. Your main mission within the company will include: - Designing and integrating functionalities such as real time video encoding, audio encoding, time code decoding, camera interface, remote procedure calls, network protocols, etc. to fuel the company's software stack ; - Developing low level modules able to deal with custom electronic boards, deep learning architecture, GPU, tensor cores ; - Collaborating with R&D, production and performance capture teams of the game studios located in Europe and in the US ; - Preparing the future version that will operate on the next generation of Hardware (cameras ; computers...) - Discussing and documenting results, methods, APIs, and conclusions. We are looking for the following profile: - Engineering / Masters degree in industrial engineering (C, C++, Python) ; - A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required ; - Knowledge of Linux kernels and embedded systems ; - Knowledge of common open source libraries dedicated to video / audio processing and data streaming / transfer ; - Knowledge of collaborative software development tools (Git, Cmake, CI/CD, testing) ; - Spirit of curiosity, problem-solving, open-mindedness and team-oriented mindset ; - Proficiency in English and French required, both oral and written ; - Passport ready, appetite for traveling abroad to frequently regroup with teammates.
