- Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. John Galliano was named Creative Director of the house in 2014, bringing his sense of spectacle and creative mastery to the unique ethos of Maison Margiela. Whilst developing his own vision for the house, John Galliano has entirely respected the Martin Margiela state of mind, creating a fascinating organic process.
In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.
- The Merchandising Collection Assistant intern will join the Central Merchandising Department; the intern will support the team in pricing, collection, and showroom for all categories (Accessories / RTW, / shoes).
**Job responsibilities & activities**:
**PRICING**:
Pricing benchmark and pricing analysis on Excel and PowerPoint:
- Prices in different currencies (€/$/CNY/JPY).
- Weekly benchmark of our key competitors pricing.
- Spread calculation based on the different currencies.
- Global analysis by category + specific analysis upon requests (permanent analysis, key products).
**COLLECTION**:
Product Benchmark and trend analysis:
- Monthly newsletter with recent market trends and major events: celebrities, competitors’ new products, etc.
- Daily monitoring of competitors’ offers new products, new seasonal stories, collaboration.
- Preparation of trends reports in anticipation of each seasonal brief for Collection Merch team.
- In depth analysis of collection structure of our key competitors.
- Global report of Fashion weeks.
**SHOWROOM**:
Shooting:
- Prepare a shootlist and other documents needed by the dressers.
- Confirm the samples availability
- Overlook the shooting, check everything is being shot at a reasonable speed.
- Leader on the pictures Application, check codes, pictures, everything is correct.
Sample Management:
- Reception of the samples and checking list.
- Ensure the correct treatment of the products by external and internal staff during showroom.
- Help with the cancellation split for visual merch team and sample flow coordinators.
**Skills & Experiences**:
You are seeking a 6-month internship as part of your first or second year of a Master’s program.
You have prior experience in the luxury or fashion industry.
You have a strong sensibily of fashion and are able to identify new trends relevant to the brand.
You possess strong Excel skills.
You demonstrate a highly analytical mindset.
You are product-oriented: you can compare products in terms of fabrics and styles to support pricing strategy.
You are detail-oriented and meticulous.
You conduct precise analyses of collection structures.
You have excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively across different teams, from sales to design studios.
You handle stress well, especially when dealing with last-minute requests.You take ownership of overseeing the status and progression of the collection.

En tant qu’Assistant Collection Merchandising, le stagiaire rejoindra le Département Merchandising Central, le stagiaire soutiendra l'équipe dans le pricing, la collection, et le showroom pour toutes les catégories (Accessoires / RTW / Chaussures).
Vos différentes missions seront les suivantes:

Analyse des prix et benchmarking sur Excel et PowerPoint:
- Analyse des prix dans différentes devises (€/$/CNY/JPY).
- Benchmark hebdomadaire des prix de nos principaux concurrents.
- Calcul des écarts en fonction des différentes devises.
- Analyse globale par catégorie + analyses spécifiques sur demande (analyses permanentes, produits clés).
**COLLECTION**:
Benchmark des produits et analyse des tendances:
- Newsletter mensuelle sur les tendances récentes du marché et les événements majeurs : célébrités, nouveaux produits des concurrents, etc.
- Veille quotidienne des offres de concurrents : nouveaux produits, nouvelles histoires saisonnières, collaborations.
- Préparation des rapports sur les tendances en vue de chaque brief saisonnier pour l’équipe Collection Merch.
- Analyse approfondie de la structure des collections de nos principaux concurrents.
