It provides an objective opinion and recommendation to the Audit Committee, the CEO and the Board by providing advice and guidance and where appropriate by measuring and evaluating their effectiveness and recommendation. **The Mission**: The role of the Internal Audit Office is to provide independent assurance that Wakam's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. It provides an objective opinion and recommendation to the Audit Committee, the CEO and the Board by providing advice and guidance and where appropriate by measuring and evaluating their effectiveness and recommendation. **✏️ Your Responsibilities**: The **Internal Audit Manager** supports the Chief Internal Audit to determine and execute the Internal Audit plan. **The role includes the following responsibilities**: - Identify, assess and prioritise key risks relevant to the business in an Audit Universe. - Coordinate co-sourcing resources, lead or participate in the different phases (planning, fieldwork and reporting) of the audit assignments. - **Planning** - scoping of the audit including documentation of audit scope, risk & control identification, and definition of testing strategies - **Fieldwork** - completing audit fieldwork by testing design and operating effectiveness of key controls and documenting audit work. - **Reporting** - Writing high quality work papers, issues and supporting the Chief Internal Auditor in writing the audit report. - Completing testing of audit issues confirmed as closed by the business. - Support the Chief Internal Auditor for the preparation of Management Information and committee decks - Assisting with the drive for consistency and efficiency across the Group by seeking out & sharing expertise and experiences, information, learnings, knowhow and experiences with colleagues and the business **✨ Who You Are**: - Experience within an Internal Audit function within the insurance industry (preferably retail General Insurance) - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Demonstratable expert technical knowledge - Demonstratable pro-active approach - Demonstratable ability in challenging the status-quo at all levels of the Organisation - Ability to develop and deliver innovative ideas - Ability to keep pace without loss of quality - Strong Organisation skills and self-motivation - A problem-Solving mindset to identify issues and find creative solutions to challenges that arise. **Inter-relational skills** - Positive energy, enthusiasm, agility, and team spirit - Pragmatist with tenacity and flexibility - Solutions orientated - Intellectually curious, highly capable, and eager to learn - Thinks and acts globally; capable of working effectively and collaboratively across an internationally diverse organisation. - Self-awareness and the ability to accept feedback and strive to continue to develop. - Personal resilience, an optimistic self-starter with strong drive - A structured and flexible approach - The highest ethical standards in all interactions and decisions, fostering trust and credibility. - A sense of ownership and accountability for Company success, taking responsibility for decisions and outcomes. - A balanced approach that identifies and addresses potential risks. **✨ AI**: At Wakam, AI and automation are transforming the insurance experience.
