International Tax Specialist

**Job Description**: The AXA Partners business is global business unit within AXA created to combine existing and future AXA B2B offerings currently offered through different legal entities. This role will therefore be a key resource in implementing and driving new AXA Partners structure(s) and will suit someone who is looking for a technically challenging and diverse role within a dynamic environment. AXA Partners is present in more than 30 tax jurisdictions, through more than 50 legal entities. As the most significant part of the cost base is in Europe, experience with EU models of VAT grouping for efficient cross provision of services within financial services organisations is a key requirement. The International Tax Specialist will be responsible for all direct (CIT) and indirect taxes (VAT, IPT and equivalents), M&A and tax projects across the AXA Partners business for AXA Assistance. **What you’ll be doing**: - Provide VAT advice and support to the business teams and tax team as required on new business implementations and/or change projects working closely with other business teams, including Legal, Finance managers and other AXA Partners local tax teams => review of our legal organization to optimize Vat impacts => contribute to E invoicing project - Oversee direct and indirect tax issues within the business units and perform tax controls - Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders - Monitor VAT and IPT filings and payments issues, providing dedicated support on material issues, and liaising with local advisors and dedicated local AXA tax teams where necessary - Work with local external advisors and local AXA tax teams on relevant direct and indirect tax issues and audits - Deal with tax queries and provide support to tax team on an ad hoc basis - Identify and implement indirect tax savings to maximise earnings whilst mitigation any areas of tax risk - Verify transfer pricing documentation for entities in the define scope. - Monitor FATCA and related compliance - Deal with tax queries and provide support to tax team on an ad hoc basis - Contribute to tax group reporting and analysis for actual and forecasts phases and improve the reporting process **What you’ll bring**: - University / Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting. Master’s Degree in Business Taxation preferred - Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience with multi-national corporations - Previous experience in operating in an international and matrix environment - Broad knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns - Experience in analysing tax environment in all jurisdictions - Detailed understanding of international tax treaties provisions - Strong knowledge on EU transfer pricing rules, EU VAT rules - Ability to partner across finance, accounting, product and legal and to communicate highly technical concepts to non-specialists in a clear and comprehensible manner - Strong project management skills is an asset as part of a transformation context - Knowledge of tax software and MS Office - Fluent in English and French **Who we are**: We’re AXA Partners, experts at designing and delivering assistance solutions and specialised insurance, credit, and lifestyle protection - with and for our partners worldwide.
