Job summary

We're looking for a Data Center Audit Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. Scope of work includes physically walking data center floor space to visually identify, capture and record data collected. Reporting audit findings through ticketing systems with clear and concise communication to capacity planning.

Technicians will provide information gathering of our data center floor space and internal infrastructure to validate system information or rectify system inaccuracies where present. Technicians will request funding, create, and drive projects to remediate findings.

Technicians will provide operational support of our Data Centers. The auditor will work closely with Data Center Capacity Planning to audit whitespace within the Data Center footprint.
- Ability to exhibit good written and oral communication skill.
- Basic project management skills.
- Autonomous and self motivated.

Physical Requirements

All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds unassisted; and participate in group lifts for 36 pounds or more
- Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances
- Walk job sites in uneven terrain.
- Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
- Perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
- Push or pull heavy objects into position
- Work in a noisy environment
- 3 + years of relevant IT experience
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and distribution warehousing practices
- Knowledge of IT Industry
- Previous Logistics experience
- Commitment to a culture of safety & security
- Knowledge of Inventory Management tools
- Networking - Layer 1 Proficiency
- Fundamental knowledge of Data Center power
