-Carhartt WIP is part of the Work In Progress Holding AG. Our family-owned business group started as a licensee and European distributor of the US workwear manufacturer Carhartt in the early 1990s. Since then, it develops its own collections based on workwear originals.
Carhartt Work In Progress aims to continuously progress and evolve, without ever losing sight of its origins. Over the course of the past two decades, our business has developed organically, along with its customers, the culture that surrounds the brand, and its employees who have helped shape what Carhartt WIP is today.
Part of the retail team for the European region based in Paris, you will monitor the stock in store and in warehouse to maximize sales, and support the team during the seasonal buying process constantly analyzing the retail business and providing feedback.
Stage - Retail Merchandising & Buying Assistant Internship (M/F/x) - Paris
**Your Responsibilities**:
**Sales analysis & Reporting**
- Support the Retail Team with weekly, monthly and seasonal Reports and provide analysis on business performance to inform on actions to take
- Consolidate collection feedback
- Collaboration and special projects sales analysis
**Retail Buying/merchandising**
- Pre-buying analysis and seasonal feedback
- Participate in the seasonal assortment per region and per store
- Support retail team during the buying process in showroom Retail Merchandising & stock management
- Manage the stores reorders and optimize stock allocation
- Stock monitoring between the stores to optimize sales and sell through
- Follow up stock requests and transfers from stores
- Follow up deliveries from the warehouse to the stores
- Support the business during showroom, events and store openings
- Competitive analysis (trends, product offer, price positioning)
**Your Profile**:
- Master degree, with a first experience is retail, merchandising and/or buying
- Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
- Fluent in English. A 3rd language is a plus (Spanish, Italian or German)
- Adaptable, proactive and flexible. Detail oriented.
- Passionate about the brand, with a strong sense of fashion and a good brand environment knowledge
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Minimum 6 months availability
