P&C Business Architect

In the context of Scor P&C, the P&C Enterprise Business Architect plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its governance structure, business processes, and business capabilities. This person will align P&C business strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives. The primary focus is the business motivations, business operations and business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these aspects of the enterprise together. The Enterprise Business Architect will work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise priorities, areas of challenge and evolution using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques, based on deep Business and operational understanding of the organization.

The major priority is to align strategic objectives and tactical requirements. The P&C Enterprise Business Architect responsibilities also include (but are not limited to) analyzing the operating and business model, creating synergies with other entities’ and developing capability maps

**Mission**
- Analyze and develop the strategic perspectives using a business architecture approach and based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
- Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals and challenges, and map those against a relevant framework, to support a common understanding and allow discussions, arbitrations, and prioritization. Then feed the appropriate governance forums
- Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business operations functions.
- Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
- Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
- Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.
- Supports the gathering and qualification of functional requirements to feed into projects
- Work with other members of the Business transformation team, to provide analysis and business-related perspectives for management decisions on business initiatives, platform projects, enhancements, business cases, dependencies
- Custodian of the produced documents, mapping and other assets, and ensure they are widely used in decision making processes

**Required experience & competencies**
- Experience with business process modelling, business enterprise architecture methodology and practices and related tools
- 10+ years' experience on different insurance/reinsurance or financial services business domains
- Experienced with project management techniques and tools
