**Role Overview**

As an ML Engineer at Syroco, you will focus on transforming machine learning models developed by our Data Scientists into robust, production-ready solutions. This includes deploying and maintaining models, ensuring their scalability, reliability, and integration within our infrastructure. You will work on regression models, neural networks, and other predictive algorithms, collaborating closely with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to manage infrastructure and workflows. Additionally, you will interact with naval experts to ensure the models are aligned with real-world maritime challenges. The role emphasizes production excellence, monitoring, and long-term maintainability.

**Key Responsibilities**

Machine Learning Model Deployment
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to transition models from prototype to production.
- Develop processes to optimize model performance and scalability.
- Integrate models into production pipelines while ensuring low-latency and high-reliability requirements.

Production Monitoring and Maintenance
- Implement and monitor systems to track model performance, accuracy, and drift.
- Design workflows for model retraining and versioning using tools like MLflow.

Collaboration with Software and Data Engineering Teams
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable data pipelines feed into machine learning workflows.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to address production challenges.

Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on the latest tools and frameworks for efficient model deployment and monitoring.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes and optimize infrastructure usage.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of regression techniques and neural networks.
- Hands-on experience with tools like MLflow for model tracking and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for ML deployment.

**Experience**:

- At least 2 years of experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Data Engineering and MLOps.
