**Physical measurements & Instrumentation Technician**

**Context**

**Your tasks**
Following a period of induction and training, you will work as part of a team of around fifteen people, primarily in the laboratory and the experimental areas. You will have the following duties:

- Support colleagues and visiting scientists in order to ensure the smooth running of the experimental programmes
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and configure cryogenic equipment
- Draft and maintain technical documentation and occasionally conduct internal training sessions
- Contribute to the development of new sample environments
- Work with your team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

**Your profile**
- You have a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification (HNC/HND, foundation degree or equivalent) in physical measurements and/or instrumentation.
- You are interested in the field of scientific instrumentation and would like to learn how to develop and use complex measuring instruments.
- You have a basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and are keen to develop skills, for example, in TIG welding, brazing, industrial drawing, etc.
- Knowledge or experience in cryogenics and vacuum technology would be an advantage.
- You are an enthusiastic team player with good organisational skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- You are a good listener and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- You have at least an intermediate level of English, in particular spoken English.
