Within the Group, you will join the **Group Risk Management (GRM)**department which brings together high level and multidisciplinary staff with engineers, PhDs, actuaries, data scientists and financials split between Paris, Zürich and Madrid. Its main missions are focused on the following key areas:

- Analyse, model and aggregate the Group’s risks (economic capital);
- Define and implement the process enabling to secure the undertaken risks (risk appetite, assets accumulation, longevity, natural catastrophe...);
- Optimize the Group protections (reinsurance, securitization, hedging, etc.) to meet the desired strategy.

Within this Department, you will be part of the AXA Group **Financial Risk Management**team, which core missions consist in the identification, reporting and management of financial risks (market, credit, liquidity) and investment risks.

**YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES**:
As a Senior Investment Risk Expert, you will embrace challenge, contribute to the decision making and monitoring processes throughout the AXA Group on the full investment spectrum, with a strong focus on Alternative Assets, while also helping to identify, investigate, quantify, and mitigate any potential financial risks emerging.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Lead and perform independent 2nd opinion, ensuring a diligent and in-depth review of new investment proposals on a broad scope of asset classes (credit, infrastructure, real estate, private equity, etc.)
- Engage with the various stakeholders, including but not limited to internal and external asset managers, investment teams and local risk departments
- Present complex topics, articulate with the AXA portfolio and draw recommendations
- Carry out stress-test/risk scenarios, assess the impacts and design mitigating actions
- Oversee some asset classes, monitoring the performance and risk factors and perform deep-dive reviews on certain strategies, market segments or industries
- Keep abreast to the latest industry news and trends, regulatory changes, etc.

As a Senior Risk Investment Expert, you will also actively engage in:

- The design and implementation of new financial risk frameworks
- The rethinking of existing risk frameworks and processes to adapt to the AXA Group’s transformations and financial markets’ evolution

- Contribute to the long-term evolution and improvement of risk management frameworks, processes, and tools

**YOUR PROFILE**:
- At least 10-years relevant experience within best-in-class financial institutions: capital markets and/or asset management and/or investment counseling and/or investment risk management
- A deep knowledge of one or more asset classes would be favored
- CFA or equivalent certifications would be a plus
- Proactive thinking and open mind-set
- Structured way of working, with attention to detail
- Robust written and verbal communication skills (fluent English is essential)
- Proven collaboration and teamwork skills as the role involves a large part of interactions
- Agility and strong sense of accountability
