Quandela, a leader in the development and commercialization of quantum computers based on the manipulation of single photons, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated quantum information scientist to **develop models and protocols for controlling optically active spin qubits in quantum dots **to deterministically generate entangled states of light.
You will be part of the theory team of the Research & Development department, a dynamic and rapidly growing team. You will have opportunities to get involved in several aspects of its research, to work in collaboration with partner academic groups, to publish in leading peer-reviewed journals and to present your work at international conferences.
Your role will also involve interactions with the hardware and software teams working on the development of our photonic quantum computing platform.
What are your responsibilities ?
- Develop models for the operation of quantum emitters containing spin degrees of freedom
- Collaborate with hardware teams to implement new control protocols and explain results
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in quantum optical technology with a focus on single emitters and spin physics
- Carry out high-quality original research
- Publish in leading international journals and conferences
**Requirements**:
PhD in Physics or a related discipline, with a focus on **quantum optics or spin physics**
- Proven track-record of high-quality research in at least one of: photonics, quantum optics, quantum control, computational physics, quantum information, quantum computing
- Experience studying dynamical decoupling sequences and spin ensembles is highly desired
- Coding experience
- Ability to lead projects, identify research directions, and propose pertinent technical questions
- Ability to take initiatives and to work effectively both independently and within teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
