Today, we are looking for a **Senior Backend Engineer Node.js** to join one of our clients, a fast-growing company specialized in embedded data solutions, **full remote in EU.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Work with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Clickhouse, Snowflake)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Frontend, Platform) to deliver end-to-end features
- Contribute to a robust CI/CD pipeline and actively participate in daily deployments
- Maintain high-quality code through testing and best practices
- Occasionally interact with a Rust-based query engine (training provided if needed)
- Be part of a remote-first team with 1-2 team meetups per year

**Technical Environment**:

- Node.js / TypeScript
- PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Snowflake
- Rust (optional, but a plus)
- AWS, Pulumi
- CI/CD tools
- Agile methodology

**About You**:

- 5+ years of professional backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience with data modeling and relational databases
- Comfortable with modern dev practices (testing, CI/CD, code reviews)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus)
- Bonus: Experience with or interest in Rust
- Excellent communication in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently within a remote team
- Previous mentoring experience is appreciated

**Contract and Compensation**:

- Freelance - Full-time role very long term
- Remote-first position
