Business Controller

The
**Business Controller** is the right hand of the
_Head of Finance Business Partnering_ and part of the Finance Business Partner team. He / She acts as a sounding board, a trusted adviser and facilitator of productive business discussions.

He / She has a clear responsibility to provide and explain all necessary and relevant financial information, past, current, and forward.

He / She proposes, monitors, support in the execution of all actions plans to sustainably improve the performance of the Company (short and medium term) based on sound business analyses in coordination with different functions.

He / She should have a forward-looking view to ensure full execution of the current plans to improve the performance of the Company, foster Business Development, anticipate additional measures needed to offset any slowdown in the performance, rather than explaining the past performance.
- The Finance Business Controller plays a pro-active role in enhancing the margins and performance of the business through:

- Commercial profitability, by challenging the commercial strategy & business model, reviewing market data, benchmarking product / brand / Channel /customer performance and suggesting actions to maximise opportunity/minimise loss
- Operational excellence, by challenging and monitoring other functions (Operations, Purchasing & Supply) performance plan delivery
- reviewing and driving optimisation of Overhead costs
- He / She builds relevant Dashboard and business drivers (KPIs) to identify, follow and bring meaningful insights on impacting business factors, cost efficiency programs and profitability delivery
- He / She develops accurate predictive and What-if models, sensitivity analysis to determine and assess growth levers, facilitate Management decision making and foster value creation potential for the different business activities
- He / She assists business and other support function (Operations, Purchasing & Supply Chain) in all cash flow matters and related specific topics including working capital and capex in order to strive for superior cash generation
- He / She plays an active role in continuous improvement efforts and implementation of effective solutions to streamline business processes, standards and prevent financial risks
- He / She conducts financial reporting cycle, forecast and Target processes for the Company
- He / She manages and prepares the periodic (monthly / quarterly) Financial performance reporting to local management and Business review presentation to Division and Group
- He / She prepares relevant ad-hoc analysis, reporting and tracking of specific business areas and initiatives to drive concrete cost savings initiatives, efficiency improvements and revenue generation;
- He/she contributes to the strategic discussions & process and work closely with the Head of Finance Business Partnering and Management team to identify growth segments and translate Long Term initiatives into actionable plans to create value for the Company
- The Finance Business Controller is involved in key Business Development (internal and external growth) projects: assisting end to end process from Ideation to strategic formulation, preparing business cases, NPV calculation of project and opportunities, assuming and challenging different scenarios and presenting 'cold eye review' findings and conclusions
- He / She integrates and supports the development of the Finance Business Partner team in line with Company values and leadership principles
- He / She supports and facilitates interaction and fruitful collaboration with other finance functions and Teams, within Etex Business Services and Finance Operations
- He / She assist “non-Finance staff” of the Company - through communication and coaching to help them understand the financial implications of major decisions/actions
- He / She contributes to the decision making and implementation & roll-out related to any material change in the organisation and/ or new process impacting the Company

**Working experience**
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a Finance, Controlling orFP&A, ideally with some background in a big four. Experience in a Business Development role is plus

**Education & skills**
- Strong skills in Business Controlling and advanced finance analysis with proven capabilities in commercial performance
- Experience with Business partnering in an international environment is a plus
- Proficient in Excel / MS Office and efficiently manipulating large data sets - Demonstrates appetite for information system
- Deep knowledge of business process management, cost accounting and general accounting - including key finance reporting (PL, BS, CF)
