**About October**

With October Connect, October is now bringing its digital lending expertise to financial institutions to better monitor their portfolio performance and enrich their risk analysis.

Our team currently consists of 120+ people in Paris, Madrid, Milan, Amsterdam and across Europe.

**Tech at October**

We think reinventing financing is a massive tech challenge, that’s why we built October as a tech and data-driven startup. Today, 25 developers are working on building the best financing experience ever made, very closely to the Product & Data teams.

We believe in ownership and mentoring at October. By following good code practices and through code review, we make sure to deliver quality code and allow developers to grow their skills.

We follow the Scrum methodology: the Tech and Product teams are split in 4 squads.

**Your daily work**
- Write technical specifications for the features defined with the Product team
- Write clean and tested HTML/JavaScript/CSS with **React.js** and **Ember.js**
- Write clean Node.js / TypeScript code with related tests
- Make sure the app is responsive and works across browsers (no IE )
- Help build a scalable infrastructure on AWS
- Build a robust API consumed by our Web / mobile apps and our SaaS clients
- Review code from other developers
- Implement and follow the design system from Figma using Storybook

**What we need from you**
- You’re fluent in HTML, CSS and have a good knowledge of JavaScript
- You’ve built a backend using an OOP or functional programming language
- You have used a JavaScript framework before
- You have experience with a DBMS (SQL or NoSQL)
- You have an eye for details and for well designed, pixel-perfect products
- You have knowledge of the code quality best practices (tests, CI/CD,)
- You’re curious and eager to extend your technical skills
- You can speak and work in English

**Process**

**We follow a 4-steps interview process (2/3 weeks)**:

- First, an introduction call with an Engineering Manager (20min)
- Then, a JavaScript take-home exercise (1 week to do it)
- A Technical interview with the CTO and a developer (1h30)
- A Product interview around data modelisation with the CPO and a developer (1h)
