Type de recrutement: Poste ouvert en CDD - Quotité de travail: 100% - Niveau d'emploi: A - Chercheur - Localisation: IF Institut Fourier 100 Rue des mathematiques 38610 Gières Présentation de la structure The researcher will work at the Institut Fourier, a mathematics department of CNRS and UGA, within the ANR project “HilbertXField : Hilbert geometry on any valued field ” (ANR-23-CE40-0012). He/she will be part of the research group "Geometry and Topology” and will be mentored by one of the members of the Grenoble team of the project ( Anne Parreau, Pierre Will, Martin Deraux, Hervé Gaussier or Gérard Besson). Collaborations and visits with the other members of the ANR project HilbertXfield are expected. Missions principales Research on the topics of the project, in particular the study of Hilbert geometries and their generalizations on real and complex riemannian manifolds, or on non-Archimedean fields, representations of finitely generated groups in semisimple Lie groups (including Hermitian, complex and non-archimedean ones), degenerations of representations. Activités principales - Research in mathematics, writing and publishing the achieved results in peer-reviewed international journals - Interaction with other members of the project and of the Geometry and Topology team - Participation in the seminar and in the activities of the group “Geometry and Topology” (for instance, reading groups) - Participation in the activities of the ANR project “HilbertXfield” - Presentation of the achieved results in local seminars and in international meetings Compétences attendues - Knowledge in geometry and geometric topology in a wide sense, with for example specializations in : geometric structures on manifolds, complex hyperbolic geometry, Hilbert geometry and generalizations, volume and entropy, Teichmüller spaces and generalizations, Anosov representations, positive representations, character varieties and their compactifications, non-archimedean representations, actions on real trees and euclidean buildings, etc... - Ability to pursue research in mathematics in an organized and independent manner - Writing mathematics papers - Giving talks to present the achieved results - Communicating with other researchers - PhD thesis in pure mathematics Rémunération A partir de 2480€ mensuel brut et en fonction de l’expérience.
