- WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
This position is located in Andrezieux, France and will report directly to the Plant Manager and will have environmental, health, safety (EHS) for one manufacturing site. Be a champion for change through the development, maintenance and execution EHS programs to provide a safe and sustainable work environment while maintaining compliance with regulatory obligations.

In this position, you will get to:

- Facilitate EHS program objectives by providing clear and continuous direction.
- Be the site EHS expert, maintain strong shop floor presence and be considered the preferred point of contact for safety, health and environmental related inquiries.
- Utilize proactive safety methodology and deploy improvements as needed.
- Monitor applicable EHS regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts; provide operations leadership information as appropriate.
- Manage environmental processes to ensure nVent and regulatory requirements are met in relation to waste management, water discharge & air permitting obligations.
- Coordinate and engage plant personnel and other personnel in the identification, development and implementation of EHS goals which will positively impact and add value to the organization.
- Manage EHS documents, vendor contract and permit administration.
- Manage incident reporting process and participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Facilitate required EHS training to ensure all regulatory and company obligations are met.
- Monitor progress towards site safety and environmental objectives.
- Coordinate behavior based safety and ergonomic improvement activities.
- Champion Social Responsibility & Sustainability initiative across the Andrezieux site.
- Prioritize improvement opportunities based upon tactical planning objectives including safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash.
- Drive improvements to the site specific ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- YOU HAVE:

- BA or BS degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental.
- 5+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems.
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people at all levels within the organization and outside the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to influence prioritization of activities to maintain compliance.
- Fluent English, both spoken & written.
