Position Duties

As LEAD (HEAD) GAME DESIGNER, you will be responsible for managing a team of Game Designers tasked with transforming the vision of the Design Director into a playable experience. As both a leader and a job creator within a well-established team, you will contribute to multiple ambitious and growing projects, sometimes concurrently.

Responsabilities:

- Take ownership of the game mechanics and strategies, decide how they should be used and implemented in game, and work closely with Programming, Animation, and Design departments to drive development towards the vision laid out by the Design Director.
- Supervise the work of Game Designers by providing them with feedback and support in the prioritization and realization of their tasks.
- Report their progress to the Producer(s) and, if necessary, to the Design Director.
- Communicate the importance and role(s) of new features to the game design team.
- Regularly monitor development documentation and make sure support is up to date.
- Participate actively in the production planning process and define the roadmap of the game design team with the Producer(s).
- Assess the success of the game design process by measuring how objectives are met.
- Adjust the game to be aligned with the Design Director's vision and in phase with the client's expectations (always with high-end quality in mind).
- Define the playstyles and tactics to be used within the game by players within the target audience.
- Drive the team toward a passionate work dynamic by valuing their skills and encouraging their autonomy and creativity.
- Participate in the development of tools required to implement and adjust game systems in collaboration with Developers.
- Perform any other related tasks, as required.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience working as a Senior or Lead (Head) Game
- Designer (with at least 1 title shipped, preferably at AAA game level).
- Highly proficient in game design and team management.
- Good communication and project management skills, with a proven ability to focus on priorities, all while maintaining a positive team spirit.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences (client, team member, top management) on a broad range of topics in English, e.g., technical, business, and creative (spoken and written).
- Experienced in gaming culture and development with at least 2 shipped games.
- Experience designing online multiplayer mobile games.

Bonus Skill:

- Interest in Tactical / RTS and collectible racing / battle genre games and AAA titles.
- Experience in Game and Level Design with Unreal Game Engine.
- Knowledge in utilizing JIRA task management platform and Slack team messaging platform.
- Familiar with Design thinking and Agile methodology.
