In this pivotal role, you will lead the underwriting strategy and operations across all product lines, ensuring alignment with Wakam Group's financial goals for profitability and efficiency. **Key responsibilities include**: - Overseeing the European underwriting function from our Paris office, setting organizational goals and strategies in collaboration with the Group Underwriting team. - Developing and managing portfolio management standards, monitoring technical performance, and guiding pricing and underwriting actions for each line of business alongside Business Heads and pricing actuaries. - Being accountable for the financial underwriting results of our European operations. - Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and maintaining robust governance. - Leading the creation and refinement of underwriting policies. - Overseeing European Underwriting Committees and other necessary committees. - Providing direction and resources to achieve objectives while adhering to Group and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. - Making underwriting decisions regarding significant insurance risks. **✯** Profile**: - A seasoned leader with around 10 years of relevant experience in leading Underwriting, Pricing, or a line of business function in European or UK markets. - Advanced skills in portfolio management. - Experience overseeing a range of insurance product lines, especially in Motor, Home, and SME sectors. - A passion for continuous innovation. - Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, adept at building trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders. - Strong people management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and sustaining high-performing teams. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adaptable to change. - Fluency in both French and English is mandatory. **✯** **Hiring Process**: - 1st Interview with our Talent Acquisition Expert. - 2nd Interview with our VP Underwriting Officer. - 3rd Interview with our Chief of Capital Management and Chief Of Reinsurance. - 4th Interview with our CEO. - 5th Interview with our VP People & Communication. **Recruitment Agencies**: **_ Positive energy, agility, and team spirit are essential to support Wakam in its hyper-growth_** - You have the Wakam mindset?
