**Context**:
Degroof Petercam recently entered into an exclusive research partnership with IDMidCaps, a true independent research specialist on French small and mid-caps. This agreement enables us to expand our equity coverage into French companies and offer additional and complementary corporate financial solutions tailored to issuers’ needs.
To further **reinforce our presence amongst French institutional investors** we are looking for an **Equity Sales specialized in small and mid-caps**. The role is based in France and requires 1 to 2 days a week of presence in our Brussels Headquarters.
**Your Position**:
- Establish and cultivate relationships with a wide range of leading French institutional investors. Nurture, develop and improve the customer relationships. Client intimacy is key.
- Distribute Equity Research and effectively understand and pitch the investment cases of French and Benelux small and mid-caps to portfolio managers and buy-side analysts.
- Help find liquidity and develop our trading revenues especially in French small and mid-caps.
- Develop placement capabilities on French and Benelux Equity Capital Markets transactions.
- Manage company and analyst marketing, meetings, conference calls, and industry events with clients in a demanding, entrepreneurial, and dynamic team environment.
- Open new accounts and meaningfully drive revenue with existing accounts higher.
**Your Profile**:
- A master degree in Finance or equivalent by experience; CFA is an asset.
- Proven track record in French small and mid-caps, in either institutional equity sales, equity research or portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge and well-integrated in the French institutional investment community.
- Thorough understanding of equity/capital markets.
- Proven ability to develop, nurture and monetize “trusted advisor” client relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail; Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong business development skills and ability to work independently.
- A real team player and agile.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Bloomberg.
- Ability/willingness to travel.
- Fluent in French and English.
