**Position location** : 1 rue de Senlis, Moussy-le-Vieux 77230 FRA

As a **Junior Commodity Analyst** you will drive the analysis on one of the markets withing the perimeter of the _Market Research Team_ (sugar, ethanol, grains, or energy) and you will act as the primary backup for other research topics in a related market. You will work daily with traders and sales to monitor market developments.

You will focus on the commercial reading of your analytical work and on the communication of the results to achieve consensus over trading and sales strategies.

You will bring confidence in data accuracy and models robustness to traders and external stakeholders.

**Missions**:

- Maintain existing supply and demand models and import/export parities
- Develop data, tools, models and processes to improve market analysis from various sources
- Manage world alcohol Supply & Demand. Extract market prices trend changes & relative values
- Daily lineup and flows tracking
- Present supply and demand and market evolution on a weekly and monthly basis to commercial teams
- Compile information from internal stakeholders and external sources
- Manage relationships with data providers
- Communicate actionable insights to sales and trading teams
- Support and collaborate with other analysts within Market Research and Market Intelligence departments
- Provide ideas for new data, technology and innovation to strengthen analysis within the Market Intelligence and Research teams

**Profile**:

- University Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or Agronomy
- Experience in commodity research and/or trading : 1-5 years
- Fluent French and English compulsory
- Top Excel mastery. Power Bi and Python are a plus
- Understanding of economics and experience in commodity supply and demand fundamentals
- Good knowledge of commodities trading business
- Proven experience in fundamental analysis Supply and Demand sector
- Ability to structure data to extract relevant information for analytical purposes
- Good presentation skills
- Problem solving skills, strong autonomy, and creativity to address daily analytics issues
- Active cooperation within the Market Intelligence Research Team and external stakeholders
