Fat Tire Tours - Paris has been offering guided tours since 1999 on bicycles, Segways and on foot.
Currently we are looking for talented and exceptional individuals for Guide, Shop, and Administrative positions. All require good attention to detail, a passion for top notch customer service, and a desire to have fun
Tour Guide & Host
**Job Summary**
No task is too large for our Guides, who take tours around Paris as well as Versailles and Giverny. Outside of tour times, guides work in office, helping the hosts ensure that operations run smoothly.
Our staff wears many hats: guide, confidant, problem solver, conversationalist, leader, caregiver, and general rock star Guiding tours with us is a highly sought-after position demanding lots of cultural and historical knowledge and above all, extraordinary people skills. Those are the obvious qualifications, but no less important is the ability to work very flexible hours and have a strong sense of team pride. Previous work experience in education/theatre and/or service sector work is a plus.
On top of all that, while we love sunny days, we do many tours in the howling wind and pouring rain. Whatever happens out there, we really shine when adversity comes knocking
Hosts help customers get to their tours, take reservations, and keep the office running smoothly. Regardless of whether you are leading a tour, or caring for a group in our office, you're expected to be a powerful presenter and confident public speaker. Your delivery of information should be clear, inspire confidence, and engage our guests. You are compassionate, patient, and have an unwavering sense of humor. Your warmth and dynamic personality shines through as you relay information to our guests. In short, you love being with people and people love being with you
Although these are two distinct roles, Guides will have office shifts and can expect to help Hosts in our shop. Likewise, Hosts provide the main support to Guides on tour, frequently going into the field to help solve any issues that may arise.
**Job Requirements/Qualifications**
Fluent English is an absolute necessity.
Valid European working papers are required.
Outgoing personality and a good sense of humour are a must.
Punctuality is essential.
