**What we're looking for**:
As the leader of Data at Sorare, you will play a crucial role in building Sorare’s Data Analytics organization. You will work closely with the executive team to enable and empower a data-first culture, elevating Sorare’s approach to data.
Sorare is looking for a senior data leader who will lead data organization and partner with engineering, product, finance and other cross-functional teams to answer key questions about how to grow revenue, scale the business, and launch high-impact initiatives and product development. You will advise the company’s most critical quantitative projects and achieve its most strategic business and product goals. You will act as the most senior data leader at Sorare reporting directly to the CTO and will be responsible for implementing the data culture and strategy for the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, attract, hire a world class team of data analysts
- Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and facilitate data-driven decision making across the organization
- Lead a team to partner with engineering, product, design and other organizations to frame problems, both mathematically and within the Sorare business context
- Collaborate with other leaders and executives to build and set data-informed business strategy and build product roadmaps
**Requirements**:
- M.S. or Ph.D in qualitative disciplines such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field
- 6+ years of experience within data organizations
- 2+ years of leading/managing experience
- Ability to lead and inspire a team who converts complex datasets into digestible business and product insights
- Ability to influence prioritization and execution of high impact projects affecting the customer experience and monetization
- Experience building out data environments from the ground up
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
