**Position Overview**

An Application Engineer is responsible for providing a high level of technical support to SigmaTEK customers in the areas of phone support, training, installation, and technical sales support. Application Engineers must be customer focused, task/team oriented, and recognize the need to deliver timely results quickly and efficiently. This position requires up to 50% travel.

**Location**

We are looking for an Application Engineer located in France who can either work onsite by our customers or from their home office.

**If you are selected for this role, you will have these responsibilities**:

- **Training**:you will provide training courses for our customers, both onsite and over the internet.
- **Applications Engineering**:you will get to travel to customer manufacturing facilities to install our CAD/CAM software and run test programs on their machines, prove out the software capabilities and seamlessly integrate our solutions into various avenues of technical manufacturing systems.
- **Demonstrations**:you will provide technical sales support demonstration and competitive analysis (benchmarking).

**Required Attributes and Skills Include**:

- Mechanical and/or manufacturing engineering experience, with a focus in CAD/CAM, sheet metal fabrication or steel plate processing, and CNC programming (familiarity with G-code)
- An Associate or Bachelor degree in computer science, IT or other technical field is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows
- SQL database experience is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
