**About the Role**

**Base Location**:Lyon or Flexible France

SSE Renewables are delivering a 500MW pipeline of onshore wind and solar projects in France.

As Asset Manager you will be required to manage a range of contractors and coordinate all asset management activities in country to deliver the expected asset performance, deliver the budget and manage risks during operational life.

The Asset Manager will also undertake activities to achieve operational readiness for asset adoption.

You will work extensively with the local stakeholders, as well as with various SSE business functions (in Southern Europe, UK and Ireland) to ensure that any factors that impact the effective operation of the local SSE business are understood, reported and actively managed.

The role will ensure that all operations are managed in line with regulatory and contractual obligations and in line with SSE’s standards and procedures.

You will work closely with the wider Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery Asset Management (OWSB AM) team to:

- Prepare for receiving the new assets into operation. Ensure new assets are integrated into the operational fleet smoothly, attending and contributing to gate reviews throughout the life-cycle of the projects, and particularly during commissioning and handover.
- Ensure the assets are managed in accordance with SSE H&S requirements, local regulations and contractual obligations.
- Support SSE in implementing asset management standards and procedures.
- Minimise operational risk, control cost and optimise performance.
- Implement the OWSB annual business plan at site level**.**

The role will be France-based and will focus primarily on managing SSE’s French assets (wind farms, substations, other renewable projects), while also supporting asset management work in other countries of interest (Italy).

The role will require regular travel to UK and occasionally to other portfolio countries (Italy, Spain, Greece).

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A good understanding of the renewable energy sector in France, the key markets and players within it.
- Considerable experience in asset management within onshore wind industry in France.
- Experience with onboarding and handover of new assets. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of contractual management, including ability to navigate Long Term Service Agreements and manage stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Operational business strategy, planning, and budgeting experience.
- Business acumen, commercially focused - with ability to spot what matters and bring clarity to efforts in the team.
- Native-like fluency in French and English
- Ability to travel locally and internationally when required.
- Driving license
