You'll be at the heart of innovation, tackling projects that shape our future, with the best people possible **Your Role at Echo** You will be joining the R&D Team of over 20 Data Enthusiasts. You will work in an environment made up of Data Warehouse (BigQuery, etc.), data streaming platforms (Pub/Sub, Dataflow...), orchestration and scheduling platforms (Airflow), modern deployment (Terraform), and management platforms (GCP). We are creating a Software team working on the Echo SAAS Platform solution: which allows our customers to visualize and extract data from our different products. Your main challenge will be to lead the backend side of the new Echo Analytics platform using best practices in saas architecture. Thus, this is a unique opportunity to join, build, and grow a successful start-up leading its market, from the early stages in taking significant decisions in relation to the Software Engineering Manager, the Product Manager and the Data Engineering Manager. **As such, your main responsibilities will be**: - Lead the technical guidance on the back-end side - Provide the design and architecture of the back-end components and systems - Demonstrate expertise in Node.Js and related libraries, staying updated on the latest features and updates - Write clean, maintainable, test covered and efficient code using Python best practices - Collaborate closely with front-end developers to support the integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic - Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to define the best pipelines which provide the backend data - Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data engineers, product managers, and stakeholders - Set up a continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing process enhancements **What we’re looking for**: - Fluency in English (French is a plus) - At least 5 years of experience in Back-end Development at tech companies - Strong working experience with the Google Cloud Platform stack - Strong Experience in backend: Node.js - Strong Experience in NoSQL architecture: Cassandra, ElasticSearch, MongoDB - Experience in Event Architecture (Kafka, Lambda,...) - Experience in UI (React.JS, Playwright, Next.js..) is a plus - Experience in working with foreign teams - Strong experience in Agile Methods (Lean is a plus) - In-depth knowledge of DevOps: GitHub CI/CD and Kubernetes **Why us?** - A great diverse and international team based in Paris (30+ nationalities) - Impact and ownership mindset: at Echo we encourage everyone to take ownership of their projects - People first company: without our people we have no business, we have dedicated a People Manifesto to them - A contemporary office space in central Paris with a rooftop to admire the view - Remote-friendly policy - Free coffee, snacks on top of your lunch voucher card (Swile, 10€/ working day) - Healthcare insurance - We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin, disabilities, or any other traits that make you who you are._
