Live-in Caretaker Couple

To ensure the surveillance, upkeep, and smooth operation of a large private château near Clermont-Ferrand (63), EDMAR Int. is seeking an experienced and trustworthy live-in caretaker couple.

The château features 8 to 10 bedrooms. The owners reside there for approximately one month per year (from the end of August to the end of September), as well as occasional weekends. Other family members may visit the property from time to time.

**Responsibilities**
- Year-round surveillance of the property
- Preparing the house before the owners' arrival
- General maintenance of the château’s interior and exterior
- Laundry care, including washing and ironing
- Maintenance of silverware and valuable items
- Family-style cooking and table service during the family's stay
- Coordination with external service providers and artisans
- Ongoing renovation works at the château, supervised on-site during the week by a dedicated project manager

**Requirements and profile**
- Experienced, reliable, discreet, and versatile couple
- Strong organizational skills and a sense of service are essential
- Prior experience in a high-standard private property is highly desirable
- Additional staff are brought in when the owners are in residence
- Permanent French contract (CDI)
- Provided accommodation: an independent house suitable for a couple without children; pets (dog or cat) allowed
- Languages: Fluency in French required; English appreciated
- Salary to be determined based on experience and profile
- Start date: End of June
