We are a diverse team of 45 passionate and creative people from all around the world (15 nationalities and counting), based in Paris, France and in Washington, DC, USA.

**Your Role**

As the Engineering Manager in the Linkurious Enterprise team, you are responsible for managing Software Engineers working on our main product, as well as contributing code to the product yourself.

You will work under the direction of the CTO and will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers & QA engineers to define the planning of the team, and organize the delivery process using Agile methods.

You will aim at improving the pace of delivery, while defining goals for the frontend & backend Chapter Leads to keep quality high and technical debt under control.

**Your Responsibilities**

You will balance your time between management and direct product contributions on a 75% / 25% split approximately.

You will define the content of each sprint based on product priorities and technical needs. During sprints, you will interact with all members of the team, and will have frequent interactions with members of other teams. You will work under the responsibility of the CTO.

As the team’s Engineering Manager, your responsibilities are:
People
- ** Manage the developers of the team** (6 people): define their goals, hold regular 1:1 meetings, evaluate individual performances, share regular feedback, give access to training & resources, hire new team members;
- ** Keep the team happy**: foster motivation and energy, monitor well being, balance the level of stress, and address individual conflicts;
- ** Help developers grow** by teaching them how to become better team contributors;

Collective efficiency
- ** Organize the team’s work** to deliver new features & improvements at a steady pace while keeping quality high;
- ** Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers and QA engineers** to define the team’s planning, identify technical opportunities, and validate features;
- ** Synchronize with other teams** to anticipate and handle dependencies;

Technology
- ** Contribute to the product** by defining, specifying, implementing, testing, reviewing and shipping new features and improvements;
- ** Review risky technical decisions** to make sure they are technically sound;

**Share good practices and organize trainings** help developers grow technically.

**How We Work**

Our team is based in Montreuil (Paris area). We work on-site 3 days per week and remote-first 2 days per week (Monday & Friday).
We work as a cross-functional team, using Agile methodologies. The team has 13 people (6 developers, 2 product managers, 2 product designers, 2 QA engineers, and one Engineering manager). We work in sprints of 2 weeks and release a version of our product at the end of each sprint.

Linkurious Enterprise, our main product, is written in TypeScript (Angular + Node.js) and deployed on-premises. We run evaluation instances of our product as SaaS. Linkurious Enterprise is backed by graph databases such as Neo4j, Azure CosmosDB, Amazon Neptune or Memgraph, combined with Elasticsearch for full-text search capabilities.
Our toolchain includes: Gitub, Jira, Notion, Miro and Jenkins; and our infrastructure runs on Kubernetes and ArgoCD.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience managing a technical team
- Experience managing a team with Agile methods
- Software architecture skills
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
- Authorized to work in the E.U.
